WHAT ARE YOUR WEEKEND SERVICES LIKE?
At Freedom Life you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with contemporary worship music and an inspirational message to encourage you toward the greatness God has for your life. Our services are 75 minutes in length. Children are well-cared for in a loving nursery and fun-filled FL Kids service.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I VISIT FOR THE FIRST TIME?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or make you feel uncomfortable. We know that many people want to check out the church and “be anonymous” for awhile—and that’s fine with us! Come in, enjoy the comfortable atmosphere, and see if this is the church for you.
WHAT DO I WEAR TO ATTEND YOUR SERVICES?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business suits at our Weekend Services. Come in what is comfortable for you, because Freedom Life is not about what you look like or what you wear.
WHAT ABOUT MY CHILDREN?
At Freedom Life your children are a top priority. Our environments are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. We offer a dynamic children’s ministry called FL Kids as well as life-changing ministry to students from junior high through college. Our nursery is available 10 minutes prior to each service and our elementary students join the adults for the first 20 minutes of worship. Families may choose to stay together and watch the service from a live stream in our Family Viewing Area, and we also have a comfortable room created for Nursing Mothers.
HOW CAN I MEET OTHERS AND GET CONNECTED?
There are many ways to get involved in the life of our church. Begin by stopping by Guest Services to register for our latest upcoming events. They’ll also be able to tell you about First Steps, our four-week gateway course to help individuals learn more about Jesus. Small groups and serving are another great way to connect. In each of these, you can build friendships, learn more about the life of our church, and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. If you have immediate questions, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
HOW CAN I BE DISCIPLED AND GROW?
Our desire is that you would experience the freedom and life that only God can offer so you become a fully-devoted follower of Christ. Our First Steps Class and Growth Track Course offer the tools necessary to make this happen in your life. From the initial decision to accept Jesus as your Lord to your involvement in life-changing ministry, we will lead you step-by-step from healing to growth and into leadership. Begin the process by registering for these opportunities at VIP Guest Services, located in the lobby of the site in which you attend. If you have immediate questions, please email us at email@example.com.
HOW DO I BECOME BAPTIZED?
Freedom Life practices Believer’s Baptism, which means that we baptize those who have made a personal decision to follow Christ and trust Him alone for salvation. (We sometimes refer to baptism as “Going Liquid” with your faith.)
At Freedom Life, baptisms are celebrations! Baptisms occur throughout the year, mostly during our quarterly FL United Services. To participate, individuals simply sign-up online [here]. Upon receipt of contact information, participants will receive a pamphlet with details about the biblical meaning of baptism as well as a questionnaire to outline his or her decision to follow Christ.
WHY DO YOU HAVE SMALL GROUPS & SERVING TEAMS?
Small groups and serving teams (known as Dream Teams) are an important part of Freedom Life; in fact, you haven’t fully experienced the church until you’ve experienced them. Groups and teams allow you to meet others and develop friendships that will spur your relationship with God. As Freedom Life grows, groups and teams allow us to “stay small” and connected. Groups and teams are available for all ages and interests—there’s bound to be one that’s just right for you. Learn more about our groups and teams by attending Growth Track.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
One of the easiest things to do at Freedom Life is to participate in a small group or our dream team. Groups and teams meet and serve throughout the life of our church and community. To get plugged in to a Small Group, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. To begin serving on a Dream Team, attend Growth Track.
WHAT AFFILIATION IS THE CHURCH?
Freedom Life is affiliated with the Assemblies of God, an international network of churches united in theology and mission. This network of churches is a cooperative fellowship that allows autonomy to local churches and encourages self-government. While the churches are autonomous, the Assemblies of God does hold the ministry credentials of the senior pastor for the sake of accountability— ensuring moral, ethical, and theological standards outlined in Scripture. For more information, visit www.ag.org.
Freedom Life partners with a network of local churches through Wave Church in Virginia Beach. For more information about this network of churches, check out www.wavechurch.com.
Freedom Life also partners with ARC (Association of Related Churches). Learn more here: www.arcchurches.com.
In addition, Freedom Life is associated with Joel Osteen’s Champions Network, which recommends Bible-based churches where individuals can find a healthy church home, connect with other believers and grow in their faith. To find out more about Joel Osteen’s ministry, visit www.joelosteen.com.
